Our Budget Tessen is formed in the same way
as other Tessen in our product-line, with numerous strips of steel attached to a material backing. This Tessen is a fully
usable piece of martial-arts equipment; and unlike many similar products ALL of the leaves within the fan are formed
from metal. Cost savings are made by using slightly thinner metal leaves than on our other Tessen, giving this version a small
amount of additional flexibility.The Ryu (Dragon) and Yin-Yang design of this Tessen represents universal balance, strength,
honour, wisdom and good luck.

Created by the master smiths at the Hanwei forge this Gunbai-Dansen (Rigid
War-Fan) is a museum quality replica of an Edo period example. Used by Samurai of high rank to direct and command troops,
the Gunbai-Dansen was never far from the hand of any Daimyo. The body of the fan
is inscribed with a sample of Chinese military philosophy taken from Sun Tzu’s “The Art Of War” a text
prized by both Japanese and Chinese tacticians for many centuries.
