The Masahiro Sunflower Straight Bladed Katana (Ninjato) is perhaps amongst the more visually striking swords in its price range. Forged from CS1045 carbon steel using the Japanese Maru technique this katana although straight bladed in shaped in the Shinogi-Zukuri style. The Tsuka (Handle) is double pinned and made from wood and features genuine Same (Rayskin) and a rich purple silk Ito (Handle binding). The black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from wood and is finished to a high standard. The lower position of the Saya is decorated with an autumnal design of leaves and vines. The katana is also provided with its own Cotton sword bag.  Overall length: 40" Blade Length: 28" Handle Length 10.5"

Forged from high carbon steel using the Japanese Maru technique this katana although straight bladed in shaped in the Shinogi-Zukuri style. The blade it etched on both sides with detailed Horimono (Engravings) that depict a dragon and sacred spear wreathed in smoke. The Tsuba is square and features a detailed rendition of a Dragon. The Tsuka (Handle) is double pinned and made from wood (Unlike the plastic handles used by other companies within this price range) and features genuine Same (Rayskin) and a black leather Ito (Handle binding). The black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from wood and is finished to a high standard. The Ito-Maki (Handle Wrap) is formed from synthetic suede leather, used for its improved gripping capabilities.
