This
may be the most unusual sword of Japanese style currently available on the world market. Created by the master craftsmen at
United Cutlery the Ikazuchi (Thunder) double edged Katana is undoubtably a modern masterpiece.
Forged
from pattern-welded (Damascus) 1045 Carbon Steel this archaic style of blade known as a Ken or Tsurugi is mounted in
the Koshirae of a medieval Japanese Katana; successfully combining Japanese pre-history with that of the Samurai age. Its
nine folds during the forging process result in an impressive 1792 layers within the blade. The blade itself is double
edged with a deep Bo-Hi (Fuller) running down both sides of the blade. The Kanji Horimono translates as "United Strong
Steel” another fitting testament to the pride United cutlery are awarding this piece. The Tsuka (Handle) is shaped from
hardwood and is covered with genuine Same (Rayskin) and leather Ito (Handle Wrapping).

It has been said many times that in simplicity lies great beauty, a maxim confirmed entirely with the
creation of the Hanwei Golden Oriole Katana. With a blade of hand forged high carbon steel the Golden Oriole Katana surely
is as beautiful as it is authentic. The Tsuba is of antiqued iron and tells the story of the Praying Mantis stalking a cricket,
unaware that he himself is being stalked by the Golden Oriole. The deeply lacquered blue of the Saya (Scabbard) is repeated
in the Japanese cotton Tsuka-Ito (Handle Binding). The long handle gives superb balance to the sword allowing for quick and

Collar) and Kashira (Pommel) are all made from blackened iron, whilst the Habaki (Blade Retaining Collar) is hand made from
Brass. The Same is of genuine rayskin and the Tsuka-Ito (Handle Binding) is of premium black cotton. The Ito-Maki (Handle
Binding) is tight and runs the full length of the massive Tsuka (Handle). It is from this “Long wrapping” that
the Nagamaki takes its name. In application the Nagamaki comes somewhere between a Katana and a Naginata, With the exception

The name Odachi is literally
translated from the Japanese as “Great Sword” and the term “Great” is by no means an understatement.
With an overall length of 67” (170cm) this massive sword is without a doubt an intimidating piece. Patterned after an
original 14th century sword, the 6lb 1oz Hanwei Odachi is as historically accurate as it is awesome. The blade
of the Hanwei Odachi is forged and differentially tempered giving you a real antique for the future.

Masahiro Tachi Omodaka Shinken Katana (Three-Leaf Arrowhead Water Plantain)
Masahiro Yanagi Shinken Katana. Hand forged CS1045 Carbon steel blade, Forged using
Japanese Maru technique. The black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) of this Katana is inlaid with three brass Tachi Omodaka (Three-Leaf
Arrowhead Water Plantains) set out in the manner of traditional Kamon (Heraldic Family Crests). The Tachi Omodaka design was
used by a number of Samurai families including the Kinoshita and Mizuno families. Perhaps the most famous samurai to bear
this crest was a man by the name of Kinoshita Tokichiro, who would later rule feudal Japan under the name Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
The Tsuru (Crane) Katana features a forged high carbon steel blade
Forged of the Shinogi-Zukuri style with a full Bo-Hi -Fuller). The Tsuba is of the Taka Bori style (Carved) and
depicts cranes in flight over a misty lake. Detailing on the Kashira (Pommel Cap) and other parts of the sword feature the
San-Tomoe (Tripple Yin Yang Segment). The Tsuka (Handle) is double pinned and made from wood and features genuine
Same (Rayskin) and a tan coloured cotton Ito-Maki (Handle binding). The black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from
wood and features a Kozuka (Utility blade). The katana is also provided with its own Cotton sword bag.
The Masahiro Unryu
(Cloud Dragon) Katana features what is perhaps the most visually striking combination of Blood Red Ito / Sageo against
a deep gloss black saya (scabbard). Forged from 1045 high carbon steel the blade features a Bohi (Fuller) and is
very, very sharp. The overall blade shape of this katana is of the Shinogi-Zukuri style. The
round tsuba is of the Taka Bori style (Carved) and depicts an Unryu (Cloud Dragon). The Tsuka (Handle) is double pinned
and made from wood and features genuine black dyed Same (Rayskin) and a blood-red cotton Ito-Maki (Handle binding). The
black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from wood and with the addition of a mother of Pearl inlaid dragon is finished
to a high standard. The katana is also provided with its own Cotton sword bag.

The blade of the Bushido Katana features a hand-forged

lacquered in old gold with inlaid brass Sakura (Cherry Blossom). The Same is of genuine rayskin and the Tsuka-ito (Handle
Binding) is of premium Japanese cotton. The Tsuba
depicts a battle scene and is formed from blackened and bronzed iron with gold and silver detailing. The Tsuka-Ito

The Masahiro Captain Nathan Algren is in our opinion the closest katana so far to an official
"The Last samurai" Katana. Superbly detailed this Katana unlike the majority of similarly named Katana actually
has an identical Tsuba and mountings to the sword used by Tob cruise in the film itself. Hand forged in CS1065 Carbon steel
using the Japanese Maru technique this katana in shaped in the Shinogi-Zukuri style. The Tsuka (Handle) is made from wood
and features genuine Same (Rayskin) and a black silk Ito (Handle binding). The blade features the famous Kanji horimono
(Blade Engraving) that translates as "I belong to the warrior in whom the old ways have joined the new"
The black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from wood and is finished to a high specification. Although the Saya features
a Kurigata (Cord attachment Nodule) it is also supplied with a set of Tachi ashi "(Tachi Suspension attachments) so that

Forged and folded from high carbon steel the Hada (Grain Pattern) of the blade is both prominent and attractive; and
is often described as what would be a "Damascus" or "Pattern-Welded Blade". The
overall blade shape of this katana is of the Shinogi-Zukuri style. The round tsuba is of the Sukashi Taka Bori style
(Pierced and Carved) and depicts a fight between two Samurai on a bridge. It may be assumed that this scene is in fact a depiction
of the conflict at the Gojoe bridge, between the Sohei (Warrior Monk) Benkei and the young Lord Yoshitsune. The Tsuka (Handle)
is double pinned and made from wood and features genuine Same (Rayskin) and a black cotton Ito-Maki (Handle binding). The
black lacquer Saya (Scabbard) is formed from wood and is finished to a high standard. The katana is also provided with its
