Created by the master smiths at the Hanwei Forge, this Da-Dao (Great-Sword) is the real big-boy of the Chinese swordsmen. Originally created for the mass armament of conscripted peasant armies, the Da-Dao was used in regular combat as recently as the Chinese cultural revolution. Although the Da-Dao is traditionally carried across the back without the use of a Scabbard, this edition is provided with a canvas case to protect the blade from damage during tranpsort and storage.

The design of the Jian (Longsword) has remained largely unchanged for the last two thousand years, and the classic proportions of this sword reflect that perfectly.
